Stephen G. Carlson practices primarily in the areas of Trucking and Transportation law. Stephen has also practiced in property subrogation and recovery, product liability, construction defects, professional liability, premises liability, wrongful death, and personal injury.
Stephen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and graduated from the Emory University School of Law. While in law school, Stephen earned numerous awards for his performance in the classroom, was a student advocate for the Henry County Public Defender’s Office and traveled to South Korea for an internship with the Constitutional Court of Korea.
Upon graduating from law school, Stephen represented corporations and insurance companies in defending against negligence actions. He then entered into plaintiffs’ litigation, where his practice focused on representing individuals for claims due to the negligence of others. He has mediated and tried numerous cases throughout Georgia and the nation, in both state and federal courts. He now brings his wealth of experience from both sides of the courtroom to advocate for his corporate and individual clients.
Stephen is admitted to practice law in all Georgia state courts and all United States District Courts in Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. Since 2018, Stephen has been nominated annually to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Top 40 Under 40 lists.
Stephen is a happily married father of twins, and in his spare time, enjoys reading, sports, food, traveling, and spending time with his family. Stephen is also a proud season ticket holder of the Atlanta Falcons and an avid Virginia Cavaliers fan.
