On Saturday, October 29th, several Nall & Miller staff and their families volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank , sorting and packing donated food for deserving families.

Every year, the Food Bank works with more than 600 nonprofit partners—including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers—to distribute over 50 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.   The Food Bank has more than 150 staff members, a large fleet of trucks and a 129,000 square-foot facility to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. The donors include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, restaurants, food drives, gardens and individuals.  However, the Food Bank relies heavily upon more than 1,700 volunteers a month to process, sort, and pack the donated food.

The project was the idea of Nall & Miller Partner, Mark Lefkow.  “I wanted to arrange a weekend where we invite lawyers and staff, as well as their families, to be of service to the community.”  This is just the first of many planned events by Nall & Miller to give back.
