Alain Fernandez is an associate at Nall & Miller and practices in the area of Trucking and Transportation law. He is a Pennsylvania State University law school graduate and has been practicing for over thirteen years. Prior to practicing civil law, Alain worked as a prosecutor for many years in various prosecutorial offices in the Washington, D.C. and Atlanta areas. He has a well-rounded litigation background that includes scores of jury trials and bench trial experience.
Alain’s civil law experience includes work in a civil litigation practice group representing companies, individuals, and government agencies and employees in a variety of civil matters including medical and dental malpractice, U.S. constitutional law litigation, general personal injury, premises liability, automobile and trucking law defense, and employment discrimination. Alain is also experienced in workers’ compensation law defense and represented employers, insurers and third-party administrators in cases throughout Georgia.
While a student at the Pennsylvania State University School of Law, Alain was an editorial assistant in an alternative dispute resolution publication and edited and published articles. He was also the secretary and treasurer of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, an active member of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and a member of minority law students associations. As part of his legal education, Alain studied law abroad at the University of Florence and focused on Comparative Constitutional Law, European Tax Systems, and International Gender Law issues.
Alain received bachelor degrees in Criminology, Law, & Society and Psychology & Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.
Alain resides in the Atlanta metro area and enjoys his spare time with his wife and two young boys.
