Goldstucker and Arndt Motion to Dismiss Granted

NallMiller-780 edit-LianaPigRoastGolf-2717-Edit-1.jpgOn June 20, 2016, partners Bob Goldstucker and Patrick Arndt’s Motion to Dismiss, filed on behalf of the State Bar of Georgia in the United States District Court, Western District of Texas, was granted.  Hudnall v. State Bar of Georgia, civil action no. 3:15-cv-00364.  A former Georgia lawyer sued the State Bar of Georgia and alleged that the State Bar of Georgia defamed him and deprived him of constitutionally-protected rights under color of state law. The grant of the motion turned on the Court determining that the State Bar of Georgia had not purposely engaged in any activity which would give any Texas court personal jurisdiction over the State Bar.  Nall & Miller has served as outside counsel for the State Bar of Georgia for the past 30 years.
