Partner Laura Eschleman was invited to address physicians at the annual Heartland Foot & Ankle Conference.  The conference took place from September 28, 2016 through October 1, 2016 at the Des Moines Marriott – Downtown in Des Moines, Iowa.  The Heartland Foot & Ankle Conference is a four day conference of medical and surgical specialists and is recognized as one of the premier seminars dedicated to advancing foot and ankle knowledge and techniques.  Faculty included nationally recognized experts and topics such as risk management, complex regional pain syndrome, necrotizing fasciitis, treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture, tarsometatarsal dislocation, treatment of traumatic ankle fractures, sports medicine, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic Charcot, advances in diabetes medications and more.

Laura Eschleman lectured on reasons patients sue despite good medicine based upon actual cases and statistical data.  Laura Eschleman also provided tips and techniques designed to help physicians avoid patient lawsuits under those circumstances.
